Carolina Herrera Interview with the Independent


Carolina Herrera was born in 1939 in Venezuela. Best known in the UK for her line of perfumes, she founded her company in 1980 and moved to New York in 1981 where she dressed Jackie Onassis for the last 12 years of her life. She has four children by two partners and lives in New York with her second husband, Reinaldo Herrera Guevara, Marqués de Torre Casa. My favourite item of clothing... is always a very glamorous evening gown. The colour depends on the occasion. I rarely wear red but I had one in red that I kept coming back to because I had lots of fun every time I wore it.

A book that changed me...There isn't a book that has changed me, but I have favourites such as 'Pride and Prejudice' which I often re-read.

My five-year plan... business-wise, it's to open shops everywhere in the world. Personally, I don't know where I want to be. You have to live life as it comes; anything could happen between now and then.

My life in six words... It has been a wonderful life.

Liv Tyler for G-STAR RAW

Liv Tyler is the new face of the Dutch denim brand G-STAR.
The campaign was shot by Dutch photographer and director Anton Corbijn for the third time.
G-Star is also Dutch and already successful on European markets but wants to up its ante now, especially in the US, which is why the brand has been showing its collections at New York Fashion Week for the past few seasons.

Beyonce for House of Dereon


Beyonce posses in Greece for the Spring 2010 collection of her and her mom Tina Knowles company, House Of Deréon.
They're playing it smart and making Beyonce the face of the brand verses some unknown model. That way the collection and the house will get much more of needed attention.

BLUE LOGAN Fashion Illustration





Blue Logan is a London born, New York based fashion illustrator.
His work has been featured in Vogue, Marie Claire, The New York Times, Nylon, Paper and numerous online fashion journals and blogs.
With his ability to draw at high speed Logan has dedicated time sketching from the front rows of the worlds fashion shows. He recreates the movement,mood and look of major fashion collections and creates a unique style that has been admired in the fashion world.
He is an artist working to capture the instant of people in their joys,loss and revelry. He sketches at fashion shows, parties, on tour, backstage, in cafes.
His work was shown in Milan just around the fashion week from February 27th - March 4th 2010 in collaboration with PWP in their new gallery space in Via Tortona
Blue is currently preparing for an exhibition of work inspired by fashion and mythology to be shown in NYC SoHo in March.
